Who is Señora Cruz?
I am excited to come on this journey with the students here at Lester C. Noecker School. I have packed up my more than 20 years of teaching experiences and I am looking forward to bringing my knowledge and love for the Spanish language and culture to your children.
Before joining this amazing team here in Roseland, I taught Spanish in grade K-5 for 16 years in Somerset County and middle school in Lyndhurst for two years. Prior to that I lived in the Dominican Republic for 6 years. During my time there, I taught second grade at a bilingual school, taught math and science at a Montessori elementary school, and spent two years as a Peace Corps Volunteer working as a coordinator for the ESL program for the Department of Education.
I have a BA in Sociology, Dual Certification in Spanish and Elementary Education, and a MA in Education in Curriculum and Assessment.
